Installations
Merretts Heating Services install modern boilers that can be very energy-efficient and manufacturers claim net seasonal operating efficiencies of up to 97%. As with gas boilers, the highest rated boilers will offer the greatest efficiency, and there are many ‘A’ rated models on the market. We are a diamond accredited installer with Worcester Bosch and can offer up to a 10 year guarantee.
Merretts Heating Services will visit you, have a free of charge consultation about your needs and tailor your quote to you. Whether it’s an emergency installation, pre-planned building works or just to update your current system, we endeavour to give you the right system for your requirements.
Our friendly office staff will liaise with you directly and will guide you through the whole process from start to finish.
Once the install has finished we will then commission the boiler and show you how your new heating system works and leave all paperwork with you on site. Before we leave the property we will always make sure that you are happy with the install and go through any questions you may have.
We understand that unforeseen emergencies or even planned boiler replacements can be difficult to afford, and we wouldn’t want you to cancel your well-deserved holiday or planned treat. In these instances, we can offer several finance packages to suit your budget.
Need a new Heating System
Combi Boiler
A ‘Combi’ boiler combines a high efficiency water heater and a central heating boiler in a single unit, heating water directly from the mains when you turn on a tap, so a hot water storage cylinder and a cold water storage tank are unnecessary. Cost-effective and energy-efficient as the water is heated instantly and delivered at mains pressure, giving a powerful shower without the need for a separate pump.
Benefits include:
- Compact sizes make combi boilers ideal for smaller properties
- Ideal where there is little or no loft space
- No Need for a hot water cylinder or cold water tank
- No risk of loft pipe work freezing
- Installation typically cheaper

NEST & SMART CONTROLS
Smart controls enable homeowners to monitor and control energy usage, saving energy and money by offering a greater level of control – usually over the internet via a smartphone, tablet or computer – and more intuitive remote user interface, perfect if you’ve left for the day and you’ve forgotten to turn your heating off at home.
How do smart controls work?
Smart controls use features such as downloading weather reports to know how cold or hot the day will be, or using sensors to turning down the heating when empty, to help curb your energy use.
Do they really save money?
Yes, independent studies show Smart controls can save an average of 10-12% on heating bills.
Are there any additional benefits?
Yes, some smart controls can connect to other internet-enabled devices, turning your house into a smart home, e.g., some modern cars can recognise when you’re almost home and turn on the thermostat so that your house is warm on arrival.
